The Brazilian Airlines Association (ABEAR – Associação Brasileira das Empresas Aéreas) is a communications, promotion, and relations unit of the airline industry. Its work programs are developed by committees composed of the member airlines, including the operational, institutional relations, and communication committees. The entity was created, in 2012, by the five leading Brazilian airlines – AVIANCA, AZUL, GOL, LATAM, and TRIP, with the mission of encouraging the habit of flying in Brazil. In order to deal with institutional issues in the airline industry, ABEAR’s working strategies include planning, implementing, and supporting actions and programs to promote the growth of civil aviation in a consistent and sustainable way, for both passenger and cargo transportation.

ABESATA arose from the need to establish an entity able to unite the strength and aspirations of such Ground Handling companies in order to pursue representation of an essential segment to the country’s aviation. Along with the Government and the private sector, ABESATA’s goal is to support the growth of the Brazilian airlift.

The Brazilian Association of Service Suppliers, Equipment and Technology for Airports – ABRASET -were created with the aim to unite, strengthen and represent the interests of the private segment of the airports. Driving innovation and competitiveness of important supplier’s chain, working for the growth and to improve the standards of quality and safety, promoting the technological improvement and the programs of sustainability in this industry.

ANAC is a special authority with administrative, legal personality, its own income and assets to perform typical activities of public administration, requiring, for its better functioning, decentralized administrative and financial management. Among its main responsibilities are the regulation and supervision of air services in civil aviation.

The National Association of Airports Administrators (ANEAA) was created by the corporations Inframerica Concessionaire of the Brasilia SA Airport; the concessionaire of Guarulhos International Airport SA; Aeroportos Brasil Viracopos AS. Mission. defend the legitimate interests of member companies, the development of companies in the sector and the well-being of users of airports.

The Department of Airspace Control is a governmental organization, as the main organization of the Brazilian Airspace Control System. Is responsible to plan, manage and control activities related to air navigation safety, control of airspace and aeronautical tele communications.

The National Civil Aviation Secretariat is the executive branch responsible for formulating civil aviation public policies. SAC is linked to the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Airports (MTPA), based on Law n.13.341, dated September 29, 2016, and has 5 areas of activity: Airport Planning and Management; Investments in Regional Airports; Civil Air Navigation, Training and Research; Regulatory Policy; Grants and Equity. In the context of the actions outlined by MTPA for the strategic development of the transport sector in Brazil, SAC’s role is to coordinate and supervise the specific activities related to civil aviation and airport and aeronautical infrastructure.
